Pure Hypnoanalysis, Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in London practiced at the London Bridge Hypnotherapy Clinic SE1
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is merely a natural phenomenon that you experience many times during your day, for example when watching a television programme or reading a good book. Hypnosis is a wonderfully relaxed state and you are always in total control. Hypnosis is not sleep and in fact during the session you will be conversing with me. You will have total recall of everything that has happened during the session. With hypnotism you cannot be made to do anything against your will or your moral and ethical standards.
Hypnosis is a wonderful tool that is used in many situations including stress relief, pain management and childbirth. Hypnosis as such doesn't actually achieve anything: it's what happens when the hypnotist puts you in that wonderful, relaxed state that creates the amazing results. It is an incredibly relaxing experience with no side effects or after effects. I am a full-time hypnotherapist and have been in practice for over 8 years so you can rest assured that you are in very good hands!

Suggestion Therapy
This is generally used for simple problems such as nail-biting, relaxation and stopping smoking. It is a combination of visualisation, positive suggestions and relaxation. Usually only one or two sessions are required and perhaps a booster session later on. It is not recommended for removal of deep seated problems such as depression, panic attacks and phobias.

Hypnoanalysis (Analytical Therapy)
Hypnoanalysis is a very special type of hypnotherapy that is a wonderfully effective and gentle form of therapy. It involves 8-12 weekly sessions of about 50 minutes each and is one of the best available for treating and removing emotional and anxious disorders.
The causes of depression, phobias, anxieties, social fears and other behaviours are locked away at an unconscious level. When your mind was young and immature there may have been an intense emotional event which has since been concealed from your conscious awareness. The emotions from this event are still buzzing around in the unconscious mind with the unconscious always trying to release them. These can manifest as panic attacks irrational fears, anxieties, social phobia and many other problems. Through analysis it is possible to bring these memories to your conscious awareness, allowing the release of these emotions. The behaviours or symptoms then just disappear for good as they are no longer necessary.
It’s easy and you don’t have to re-live any past traumas that you may have suffered. You simply use ‘Free Association’ to link and connect one thought to another back to the original emotional cause of your symptoms. Using ‘Pure’ Hypnoanalysis to release these emotions gives you permanent and lasting resolution. The symptom must have an originating cause and I will create a safe, trusting, non-judgmental and confidential space to assist you to release these emotions that are causing so much emotional pain. Getting free of your problem will require you to be prepared to devote self-discipline, money, time and effort but the results will be well worth it.
The use of hypnosis dramatically speeds up the analytical process as this allows the memories to easily come into your mind. In just 8-10 weeks you can expect to achieve similar results to those achieved with a more conventional (and much more expensive!) three or four year course of psychotherapy. Hypnoanalysis is not counselling. Some therapies merely give coping strategies that work for a while but invariably don’t last. Hypnoanalysis is a natural process – your mind has been wanting to release these emotions for a long time and all you need is a safe environment to go through the therapeutic process.
Members of the International Association of Hypnoanalysts are bound by a strict code of Practice and Ethics. They have undergone a course of training in psychotherapy, analysis and hypnosis. They have also agreed to discharge each and every client from treatment at the earliest possible opportunity consistent with that client's good care.
